Black Emanuelle, White Emanuelle

1976

Velluto nero

Dir.: Brunello Rondi

Laura Gemser | Nieves Navarro | Gabriele Tinti | Annie Belle |

Al Cliver

At first viewing, this may not seem like a Black Emanuelle film at all: Laura Gemser is a model who travels to Egypt with her photographer boyfriend (Gabrielle Tinti) and meets up with a woman who has a wild daughter (Annie Belle). Al Cliver also stars as a pseudo-religious figure who takes a liking to Annie Belle. This film isn't the fastest paced, but it more than makes up for it in style. Be sure to watch in its original Italian language as Gemser's and Belle's characters are named "Emanuelle" and "Laure", respectively.
