Albertini made this as an official follow-up to the original Black Emanuelle film he directed. It takes place in a psychiatric hospital and is essentially a psychological thriller exploring Emanuelle's mental state. Although Dagmar Lassander is always wonderful, Shulamith Lasri is definitely not Laura Gemser. Outside of her obvious physical charms, it's hard to understand why Lasri was cast in this pivotal role to begin with (It's been written that Albertini wanted Gemser but she was unavailable due to her D'Amato film commitments). There's really no connection with the original film here, so only check this out if you're in the mood for something unusual with plenty of flashbacks and hazy dream sequences.
